"Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation under "Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari" established in 1977. Leading art galleries (film studios) in India and equipped with modern facilities for shooting are located in a scenic area of 521 acres in Mumbai. Many "blockbuster" and "super-mega-blockbuster" films from the Indian film industry have been shot in Chitranagari, contributing invaluable support to the growth and development of the Marathi as well as the Indian cinema world.
